Syrakous
Where Myth Becomes Experience
Bringing Greek mythology into contemporary play and turning it into a tangible, educational, and accessible experience: this is the vision of Syrakous, a cultural educational toy brand founded in Syracuse by Rosa Castiglione. Its identity is encapsulated in the slogan “Play with Myth,” expressing the goal of transforming gods, temples, and ancient stories into living educational tools capable of speaking to the present day. The project weaves together design, storytelling, and pedagogy, creating collections inspired by the gods, temples, and narratives of the ancient world, designed for schools, museums, and specialized retail.
Syrakous was born from the desire to make myth a living tool, capable of speaking to the present,” explains Castiglione. Greek mythology is an extraordinary training ground for symbolic, spatial, and narrative thinking, and play is the ideal medium to activate it. At the heart of the offering is the Architettura del Pensiero™ method, which in 2026 will be further strengthened through an evolution of the collections and an increasingly clear, modular, and scalable product structure. Our focus for 2026 is to consolidate our positioning in the educational and museum sectors, without losing sight of specialized retail, the founder emphasizes. Our products are open systems, designed to grow over time and to interact with one another.
On the occasion of Toys & Baby Milano, Syrakous presents new developments in the Mio Tempio, Mitomondo, Mitomagneti, Doni degli Dei, Mitocubi collections and in the Colora editorial line.
These lines are designed to ensure range continuity and narrative coherence—key elements for buyers and educational contexts, adds Castiglione. The goals for 2026 look toward structured growth through strategic partnerships. We aim to collaborate with a major publishing group that shares the pedagogical and cultural value of myth, she states.
