U. Borgonovo
story that sparks brilliance
Product quality, attention to service, and full control of the entire supply chain: Maurizio Borgonovo, owner of U. Borgonovo, reveals what makes the company a benchmark in the Italian and European fireworks market.
Since 1975, U. Borgonovo has been a leading name in high-quality fireworks. Based in Inzago, near Milan, the company operates in the import and distribution of pyrotechnic items and hosts one of Europe’s largest fireworks storage facilities—an infrastructure that, in itself, speaks volumes about solidity and expertise.
To understand what makes U. Borgonovo an industry excellence today and what the company’s development directions are for 2026, we interviewed Maurizio Borgonovo, the company’s owner.
Product quality and service quality have always been our main strengths, he explains. But today, safety is a non-negotiable value: thanks to the European Directive, all products placed on the EU market must be certified and CE marked, and we manage the entire control and certification process in-house.
U. Borgonovo handles all categories of pyrotechnic items, including professional-grade products, but a significant part of its range is dedicated to over-the-counter fireworks, which are particularly popular with the general public: sparklers, small firecrackers, pop pops, fountains, pinwheels, smoke effects, and flares. “Our commitment is to offer safe, high-quality products,” Borgonovo emphasizes. “And the market confirms every day that this focus is recognized.” Alongside the product itself, customer service remains central: on-time deliveries, constant availability, and a strong listening attitude are key distinguishing features of the company.
This approach is also reflected in the complete overhaul of the website uborgonovo.it at the end of 2025, which introduced an innovative guided product search. “A tool designed to support our customers and provide consumers with truly informed guidance,” Borgonovo concludes. New 2026 releases will soon be available on the website.
