In 2026, the toy market will continue to be driven by major licenses, collectibles, and shared play experiences. This is the direction outlined by Rocco Maggio, CEO of Maggio3, who is looking ahead to next year with the goal of strengthening the company’s offering and consolidating the positioning of the Giokids brand.
From an assortment perspective, high-impact licenses continue to drive sales, particularly in the action figure and collectibles segments, explains Maggio. We are also seeing very positive results for blind boxes, supported by the kidult phenomenon and the strong visibility generated by social media. Alongside products more closely linked to collecting, there is also growing interest in more shared forms of play. We are observing a significant return to board games and titles designed for the whole family, continues Maggio. Customers are increasingly rewarding offerings that encourage participation and sharing, confirming a return to play as a relational experience.
The company is working precisely on this trend in preparation for the key period of the year.
In this segment, we are defining our offering for Christmas 2026, with a selection of cross-category titles designed for different age groups. For next year, the objectives are clear: to consolidate and develop the best-performing categories. We aim to strengthen the initiatives launched in 2025, further optimizing the assortment and enhancing the most dynamic categories, such as licensed products, collectibles, and early childhood,

An increasingly central role will also be played by physical stores. We intend to invest in the in-store experience, making it ever more engaging and distinctive, in line with the Giokids identity. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the company’s positioning in the sector. Through careful commercial planning and constant monitoring of market innovations, we aim to consolidate our role as a benchmark in the toy industry.
